About the Workshop:
This in person class at Center for Book Arts is taught by instructor Elaine G. Chu.
Create a beautiful journal of your own. Using vibrant paints, we will experiment with mark-making on covers. Option to make perforated textures with a rotary tool. We'll fold inside pages and sewn them into our covers. Exposed stitches are both functional and decorative. Great as a keepsake or gift!
Required Materials:
- Pencil and paper for taking notes
- If you already own basic bookbinding supplies, please bring them. If not, CBA will have some for purchase or to borrow.
All other materials will be provided by Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.
About the Instructor
Elaine G. Chu has taught students of all ages in person and online. Her work has been featured in “Greencraft” and“Somerset Studio” magazines as well as “1000 Artists’ Books.” She co-authored “Wood Paper Scissors,” a how-to crafts book.
