We will cover foundational techniques, using general printing ink with calligraphy paper, as well as acrylic ink on wet paper. Students will also experiment with creating unique patterns on the plate using natural leaves, origami, lace, ribbon, and various scratch tools. Born in Meguro, Tokyo – currently living in Westchester, New York. She facilitates workshops with Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Center for Book Arts, Teachers and Writers Collaborative, New York Public Library, Manhattan Graphics Center, and Poster House.
