About the Workshop:

This in-person class at Center for Book Arts is taught by instructor Kyle Canyon.

In this workshop, you will experiment with hand methods of mark making and pattern design, aiming to combine your drawings into a catalog featuring each student's decorative textures. The first two weeks will focus on student driven explorations with stark mark making. These early drawings in later weeks will be brought to the risograph printing process for students to collectively layer, print, and bind layered prints of their designs into a sample catalog, one for each student to take home.

Required Materials:

There are no required materials for this workshop but we urge you to bring your favorite mark making tools!

All other materials will be provided by the Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.
