Stitches will include running stitch, back stitch, split stitch, French knots, chain stitch and more. After instructor demonstrations, participants will practice using these stitches on paper and fabric. Participants will also learn how to pierce holes in paper for embroidery and how to begin to adapt textile materials for bookmaking, including using lightweight fusible interfacing under paper to help strengthen and stabilize it.
