On Friday, October 24, 2025 at 6:00 PM, Center for Book Arts welcomes Pep Olona (founder/director, Indómitas Art Book Fair; founder, Arrebato—a Madrid bookstore and publisher focused on poetry and cultural programming) and Corina Reynolds (Executive Director at CBA). Their conversation will explore the landscape of artists’ publications and poetry publishing, and consider how art book fairs foster community, experiment with formats, and sustain independent practices.
About Pep Olona
Pep Olona is coordinator, curator, and creator of the Arrebato Libros project—a bookshop based in Madrid specializing in poetry, a poetry publishing house, and a platform for curating poetic and cultural projects.
As a publisher, he specializes in performance and spoken word poets, with more than 40 books published and accompanying shows that have toured national and international festivals.
From the POETAS platform, he also coordinates several self-produced projects, including Indómitas Publishers at the Madrid Book Fair; the Universal Poem, an endless poem written collectively by all of humanity; and its educational branch, UPlab, where the verse becomes a fundamental unit for social change. Other projects include Réquiem, a contemporary interpretation of Mozart’s piece; pUEnte, a series of illustration encounters created for the Spanish Presidency of the EU in 2023; and the Bombing of Poems over Plaza Mayor in Madrid, 2018.
