This one-day, in-person workshop takes place at Center for Book Arts on Saturday, August 16th, from 1PM to 4PM ET.

  • Saturday, August 16th, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM ET

About the Workshop

In this workshop, parents and kids will collaborate to create an 8-page Riso-printed zine, learning basic drawing, Riso printing, and zine assembly. Each child will leave with an edition of their own zine, a tangible result of shared creativity and storytelling. This is an approachable introduction to printmaking and a chance to explore a bonding experience.

No prior experience is necessary—this workshop is designed for parents and kids to explore creativity together! Ideal for children aged 6–10, the session encourages collaboration and bonding as you discover the magic of Riso printing. To ensure a fun and smooth experience, each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the workshop. Please be advised that registration fees cover both child and parent participation.

Required Materials

All other materials will be provided by Center for Book Arts at no additional cost.
