2025 Chapbook Reading

 Join us on Thursday, November 20 at 6pm EST via zoom for our Annual Poetry Reading and publications launch celebrating our 2025 Chapbook Competition winner, Laura Kolbe, and runners-up, Destiny Brown and Carolyn Orosz, will be hosted by the competition’s Guest Judge, Kwame Dawes. We will also hear from the artists who designed, printed, and assembled this year’s publications: Allison Carter Beaulé, Elizabeth Castaldo, Rebecca Josephson and Eva Parra .

Of Kolbe's winning manuscript Dawes said, "The collection is framed by four long love poems, named that way not because they are romantic love verse, but because they are poems written in a time of love setting an emotional and mythological space in which human relationships are expressed and explored. The language is insightful and inventive, and the poet shows some delicacy and complexity in the deftly written poems."
